The Sculptra® Treatment

Sculptra treatment is performed in-office at our plastic surgeon-owned and operated medspa. To prepare for treatment, your nurse injector will cleanse the skin and apply a topical numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable. Then, a very fine needle will be used to inject the Sculptra® into the designated areas. The number of injections will depend on the amount of change desired. Treatment generally takes 30-45 minutes to complete.

Recovery

As with any injectable treatment, there are some side effects associated with Sculptra®, including swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, itchiness, and lumpiness at the treatment site. These effects are temporary and will resolve with time. You can apply a cold pack to the treated area for short periods of time for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling. Be sure to avoid exercise, tanning beds, and excessive exposure to sunlight until all redness and swelling have resolved.

Results appear gradually as your body creates more collagen and can last up to two years.
