About Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment that uses a special chemical solution to remove layers of the skin, revealing more youthful skin underneath. New skin is smoother with fewer signs of aging for a brighter, more rejuvenated complexion.
Who is a Candidate?
Both men and women who would like to improve the appearance of their complexion can benefit from chemical peels. During your consultation we can determine the depth of the peel that is right for you, depending on your skin type, medical history, and aesthetic goals. Our medspa is owned and operated by double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Willis so you can rely on safe treatments tailored to your skin type and skin concerns.
You may not be a candidate for chemical peels if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of abnormal scarring, have certain skin conditions, or take medications that make your skin more sensitive. To learn if this treatment is right for you, schedule a consultation appointment at our office today.
The Chemical Peel Treatment
Chemical peels are available in different depths to address skin concerns of varying severity.
Light peels
These peels are superficial, meaning that they only remove the outermost layer of the epidermis. This option can treat acne, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and dryness. Light peels can be repeated every 2-5 weeks.
Medium peels
Medium peels remove skin cells from the epidermis and the top of the dermis. It is a great option for treating acne scars, lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.
Deep peels
Deep chemical peels remove skin cells even deeper than medium peels and can be used to treat deeper wrinkles or scars. Only one deep peel is needed for optimal results.
