The length of recovery following facial feminization surgery will be dependent on the extent of your procedures. Bandages or gauze may be applied to your incisions, and an elastic support garment may need to be worn to minimize swelling in cases of extensive facial work. Dr. Willis will inform you on how to care for your surgical sites, medications to apply or take orally, concerns to look for, and when to schedule a follow-up appointment. Healing will take several weeks, and you will be able to notice results as swelling decreases.
