Facial contouring with fat transfer has become the gold standard for minor to moderate facial enhancement. In contrast to fillers, facial fat grafting provides a more subtle and permanent augmentation to the face. Using scarless technique, fat grafting to the face can improve lip and cheek fullness, jawline contour, and temporal fullness, often eliminating the need for more invasive rejuvenating procedures.
- Thin upper and lower lips, or the desire for a fuller lip profile.
- Worsening bags or discoloration under your eyes with age (tear trough deformity).
- Cheeks that appear less full or have begun to sag.
- Jowls along the jawline.
- Temporal hollowing.
Nothing but praise for Charlottesville Plastic Surgery. Dr. Willis explained everything he needed to do clearly and his work was top-notch. When needed, he made an immediate referral for me and explained exactly what I would expect from that. Great communication, efficient office.
I am over the moon with my results from Dr. Willis after a breast lift and an abdominoplasty. Dr. Willis and his team are so easy to work with. He listened to what I wanted and gave me beautiful results- better than I could have even hoped for. If you’re thinking about getting a procedure done with Dr. Willis my advice would be DO IT!
Dr. Willis and his staff couldn’t be more helpful and supportive. This has been the most pleasant experience and I am so pleased with the results and it’s only been a week. The staff at the surgery center as well was wonderful and put all my fears to rest. I highly recommend anyone who is thinking of a procedure Dr. Willis and his staff provide you with all the information you need. Wish I had done it sooner.
Dr.Willis and staff are incredible! They treat their patients with such high respect and make you feel right at home during your procedure. They are experienced and dedicated to making things right. You leave the office feeling really good about yourself and the work they’ve performed! I’ve had Fillers and Botox but would recommend anything!
During facial contouring using fat grafting, fat is moved from another area of the body to the face. This is achieved through the following three steps. First, fat is collected from another site of the body using liposuction techniques. The fat is cleaned so that only undamaged, whole fat cells are left, which are then injected into the predetermined areas of the face.
Following your fat grafting facial procedure, mild to moderate swelling may occur. Any discomfort that occurs can be controlled with prescription or over-the-counter medications. Temporary bruising also often occurs at the liposuction site, which should resolve within 2-3 weeks. Many individuals with desk jobs can return to work after 3-7 days, and exercise can gradually be resumed after 2 weeks.
Dr. Willis has performed over 200 fat grafting procedures during his fellowship and brings his minimally invasive, scarless technique to Charlottesville, VA. Facial fat grafting has become an adjunct to facial rejuvenation surgery, including facelifts, facial feminizations, eyelid rejuvenation, and as a standalone procedure.
An eye for facial proportions, aesthetics, and symmetry are paramount to successful fat grafting and at Charlottesville Plastic Surgery, we strive to provide natural facial rejuvenation with your own natural tissues.
