The FaceTite Treatment

Your FaceTite treatment begins by discussing your aesthetic goals with our team and creating a personalized treatment approach. FaceTite can be performed using a topical anesthetic right at our Charlottesville office. Once you’re comfortable and ready, a tiny applicator is passed through a pin-sized opening in the skin.

The applicator passes along the deep tissues of the skin, administering radiofrequency energy to contract the proteins and connective tissues. At the same time, an exterior part of the handpiece remains on the surface of the skin to monitor temperature and prevent heat damage to the skin. Once the whole area is treated, you can return to your daily activities.

Recovery

There is minimal recovery after FaceTite. It’s common to experience minor swelling and sensitivity in the treated area for 5-7 days. If you have any discomfort, you can easily manage it with over-the-counter medications. Our team will recommend restrictions on your activity level during this time to prevent swelling. Generally, you can return to your normal activities within 7-10 days.

You may see results right away from treatment, but full results can take around six months to emerge. During this time, you’ll notice the skin gradually tightening and looking more youthful. Most patients achieve excellent results with a single treatment, the results of which can last for years.
